For he knew when he pleas'd he could whistle them back.

Sidney is quite the charmer.

Sidney actually holds a full time job.  He goes to work everyday with my girlfriend Misha who is a day care teacher. They love it when he laughs, whistles, imitates the ring of the phone, and coughs.  He has been known to laugh when a student is given a time out by Misha. As you can tell, Sidney loves to play with bright, shiny objects.

Sidney is always in the mood to have his head scratched.

Sidney has always been on a pelleted diet.  He also enjoys eating many of the same foods that we eat.  We really don't mind sharing as long as it's healthy for him.  Sidney's favorites are pasta, rice, cereal, bread, dried hot peppers, and chow mein noodles.

Sidney has his beak stuck in a gold bracelet.

Sidney had a little mishap. If you look real close, his beak is stuck in Misha's gold bracelet. Sidney was playing with it when the tip of his beak became lodged in a link. Surprisingly, Sidney was not overly upset. After some discussion of using needle pliers and an emergency vet visit, I had an idea. I used a syringe to lubricate the area with olive oil. I held onto both ends as Sidney pulled his beak out. Upon releasing Sidney from his bondage, I placed him on Misha's shoulder. After a few seconds, he started playing with Misha's gold necklace. Sigh!
