Left to right, that's Tikko and Tweety. Tikko is female and Tweety is a male. They have been housemates for over six years now. In fact, they are inseparable. Tikko and Tweety are constantly preening each other. Several times a day, one will regurgitate and feed the other. Tikko and Tweety spend their day playing with their toys and chirping. They seem to be extremely happy with their lives.
Tikko was given to my girlfriend Misha as a gift. Tikko was handfed as a baby and is extremely tame. On the other hand, Tweety is just a little timid about being handled.
Tikko and Tweety are just a bit rigid in their eating habits. They are fed Nutriberries that have been crushed up, and spray millet. At one point we did try to convert them to a pelleted diet, but we had to give up. At least the Nutriberries are nutritionally complete.
